Music for Performance by the Sea

During a holiday in Wales, mimicking Kerouac in'Big Sur', I took my tape recorder down to the beach to record the waves.

For group or solo musician.

Select a chord, or series of chords that you find pleasant. Perhaps the chords to a popular song.

Sit near to the sea and listen to the sound of the waves.

The ebb and flow of the waves should be a guide to the volume of your instrument as you play each chord. Aim to hit maximum volume as the wave breaks. This may be achieved via electronic means or through playing technique.

If performed as a group, different waves should be chosen, creating similar waves of chords.
