Mirror Music

We did this exercise in drama class where we mirrored our partner.

For a pair of musicians

The lead played improvises simple phrases on their instrument. The mirror player attempts to copy their partner but because they are in a mirror - in reverse. Moving down a scale if the lead player is moving up.

This may be played face to face, or 'blind' simply listening.

The aim is not for complete accuracy but rather a series of interesting mistakes.
