Audience Participation

For ensemble with a set of chords to work through,

The piece starts in silence. No sounds are made till there is a noise in the audience: the shuffling of papers, coughing.

Each chord is sounded for an appreciable duration and then the ensemble returns to silence, wating for the next noise from the audience.

The piece finishes when the audience realises it is they who are controlling the piece.
